Most families collect in person, and we recommend it. You meet the mother, see where the litter was raised, and your puppy travels with someone it already knows. Where distance makes that impractical, we arrange accompanied Basset Hound puppy delivery by road. We never ship a puppy as unaccompanied cargo.

No charge
Accompanied road delivery
One of us, or a driver we have used for nine years, brings your puppy in a secured crate with breaks every two hours. You get a photo at every stop and a call before arrival.
Free within 60 miles, then $1.20 per mile
Meet halfway
For longer distances we will agree a safe midpoint with parking and grass, usually a service area with a dog field. Handover takes about thirty minutes.
Costs split evenly
Two weeks out
We agree a date and time, send the vet release paperwork by email, and tell you exactly what to bring: a towel, a collar and a passenger who is not driving.
48 hours out
Your puppy is examined, weighed and signed off. If anything at all gives us pause, we call you that day and move the date rather than send a puppy that is not right.
Morning of
Puppies travel better on a small meal three hours before. We keep the morning quiet and the litter calm.
Handover
Paperwork, feeding routine, house-training progress, the questions you wrote down at two in the morning. Nobody has ever been rushed out of this house.
That evening
We ring at about eight to see how the journey went. Expect a broken first night and a completely different dog by day three.
A puppy is the main event, but the bag matters more than families expect on day one.
