Everything was ready before we arrived
We had six weeks of weekly photos before we ever met her, and when we finally arrived Helen had a folder ready with everything: vet notes, worming dates, the food she was already eating. Two years on she still sleeps in the same position she did in that first photo.

They told us the truth first
Steve talked us out of a puppy on our first call. We worked long hours and he said so plainly. We came back eighteen months later with a different schedule and he remembered our names. That honesty is why we recommend them.

Our third hound from Steve Helen
Third hound from Steve Helen, and the first that travelled to us. The driver rang twice on the way and arrived with her blanket and half a bag of her food. She was asleep on the sofa within an hour.

Our vet asked who the breeder was
Our vet asked who the breeder was at the first appointment, which she said she almost never does. The records were complete, the microchip was already in our name and the weight chart was filled in by hand. Small things, but they told her a lot.

Questions instead of a sales pitch
I was nervous about a hound in a first-floor flat and expected a sales pitch. Instead I got a long list of questions and a suggestion to try two weeks of dog-sitting first. They were right. When I did reserve, I knew exactly what I was taking on.

Still replying five years later
Five years and one house move later, Helen still replies to a photo within the day. When Poppy tore a cruciate last winter they rang the vet themselves to talk through the breed specifics. That is not normal and we do not take it for granted.

Families send us photographs long after the puppy has stopped being a puppy. These are our favourite pairs.
Day one
Life at home
She arrived weighing eleven pounds and spent the first night in a laundry basket beside the bed. She now weighs fifty-two and has claimed the entire sofa.
Day one
Life at home
The Marsdens drove four hours to collect him. The photograph on the right was taken at the same beach they promised him on the way home.
Tell us a little about your household and we will tell you honestly which of our puppies, if any, is the right fit.
